Children’s Art Exhibition and Community Involvement

We believe in nurturing budding creativity and in involving the local community in major events. Zanzibar Fashion Week will be holding a school competition involving seven schools from Stone Town and Rural Zanzibar. The schools participating will be as follows:
Foradhani school (government school)
Tumekuja school (government school)
Darajani school (government school)
Kiponda school (government school)
Zanzibar Junior Academy (private school)
SOS School (private school)
Feza School (private school)

This year’s theme is ‘Modern Hijab’ and schools will be given an art project so that children can make sketches, water colour paintings and illustrations on the above theme. Papers, water colour paints and pencils will be provided which will involve children in the Fashion Week Zanzibar. This will provide an unique opportunity to encourage blossoming young fashion designers to have their work displayed on a high profile platform.
